Alex Kostic

Alex Kostic photo with Mikhail and Vlad
With masters Ryabko and Vasiliev
Alex is the first Serb who ever started learning Russian Martial Art in Vladimir Vasiliev's school in Toronto, more than 10 years ago. After years of intensive training, today he is certified senior instructor. When in Toronto, he is teaching in Mr. Vasiliev's school several classes a week. When ever he is in Serbia, he is training members of his club Vukovi (the Wolves).

Training trips to Russia (Moscow and St. Petersburg) expanded his knowledge and experience. At first place that were classes with Mikhail Rybko. While in Russia, he also visited Tropa as learned Slaviano-Goretskaya Borba, fist fighting by Gruntovsky, military style of A. Kadochnikov, and other Russian folk styles.

Alex has also vast experience in security business.

During the past few years he trained with fighters preparing for UFC, Price, Vale Tudo, NHB and other 'open style' competitions. His 'pre Systema' experience includes Shotokan karate and Taekwondo. Being philosopher by education and vocation, he is very interested in psychical, psycho-physical and Slavic (folk, fundamental, spiritual) aspect of the Systema approach to life.
